Twitter CEO Elon Musk announced he fired a Twitter employee after an argument over the social media platform’s app performance took place for the world to watch.

After Musk posted to Twitter and apologized for the app’s slow performance, Eric Frohnhoefer, who claimed to have around six years of experience working on the social media app, combated the truth of the new CEO’s comments.

“I have spent ~6yrs working on Twitter for Android and can say this is wrong,” Frohnhoefer tweeted.

Musk and Frohnhoefer went back and forth on Twitter, debating the root of the problem.

Several hours later, Musk tweeted, “He’s fired.” Over the course of the argument, several others weighed in, suggesting a change to Frohnhoefer’s approach.

“You probably don’t want this guy on your team,” one user told Musk.

Blogger Cernovich praised Musk for his “genius” strategy.

Others suggested Musk’s domineering style made him “look deeply insecure.”
