Disgraced South Carolina attorney Alex Murdaugh will return to the stand in his double-murder trial on Friday.
Murdaugh, who faces murder charges for allegedly killing his wife, Margaret, and their youngest son, Paul, testified in his own defense on Thursday. The former powerful lawyer, who has also been charged with cheating clients out of more than $1 million, broke down several times during his testimony.
Prosecutors grilled Murdaugh on what he told his clients before allegedly stealing from them.
Murdaugh admitted lying to authorities about stealing money but maintained his innocence when it came to the deaths of his wife and son.
Prosecutors will continue their cross-examination Friday.
