WATCH LIVE: Alex Murdaugh set to take stand in murder trial

Former South Carolina legal giant Alex Murdaugh is expected to take the stand to defend himself in a double murder trial.

Murdaugh is accused by the prosecution of killing his wife, Maggie, and his son, Paul, in June 2021 in an alleged attempt to hide his personal and legal financial troubles.

A judge in the trial denied a bid by the defense Wednesday to limit the questions prosecutors can ask Murdaugh during cross-examination. Murdaugh’s lawyer allegedly wanted questions about his financial status at the time of the two deaths to be off-limits.
