Super Bowl 2023: Distraught Eagles fans flood Philly streets after loss

Distraught Philadelphia Eagles fans flooded the “City of Brotherly Love” Sunday night after their team’s 38-35 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII.

“F*** the Chiefs,” fans chanted as others lit fireworks and climbed light poles, according to a report.

Philadelphia’s famous Broad Street looked like a sea of green as the dejected fans vented their frustration after the close loss by scaling greased poles and using bus shelters as trampolines, the report noted.

At least one individual threw a fence, but no one was injured as a result of the toss.

Authorities in Philadelphia responded by deploying dozens of officers and SWAT members in riot gear to disperse the growing crowd, according to the report.

Smoke bombs were tossed in the crowd around 11 p.m. as authorities worked to get the fans home.

Several individuals were taken into custody, but the exact number of people arrested has not been confirmed.

The Broad Street crowd had mostly been dispersed by midnight, the report noted.
