Democrat John Fetterman likely to be released from hospital today after medical emergency: Stabenow

Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) says it appears that Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) will likely be released from the hospital Thursday.

The Michigan Democrat told Politico‘s Meredith Lee Hill she expects his release later in the day, as he misses a Senate Agriculture Committee hearing Thursday.

FETTERMAN HOSPITALIZED OVERNIGHT AFTER ‘FEELING LIGHTHEADED’

Fetterman was admitted to the hospital overnight after his office said he was “feeling lightheaded.” His office also reported he was “in good spirits and talking with his staff and family” and would remain at the facility into Thursday for testing.

The junior Pennsylvania senator was elected in November 2022, only months after he suffered a nearly fatal stroke. Fetterman has assured the public he will make a full recovery.

The senator, who suffers from auditory processing symptoms as a result of his stroke, uses special closed captioning tools and professional transcribers in real-time to assist him in his official duties in the Senate.
