Fox News foreign correspondent Benjamin Hall announced the release of his memoir on Thursday, detailing how he survived a bomb attack in Kyiv, Ukraine, last year.

Hall also made his return to live television Thursday for the first time since he was injured. In an interview on Fox and Friends, he reported that he lost both his feet, one leg, and the use of one hand and one eye as a result of the bombing in March 2022.

“I wouldn’t regret for one instant the work that I’ve done, the jobs I’ve done, in the places I’ve been,” Hall said. “I think that I have learned, I’ve become a stronger person, and I’ve got to keep fighting for that.”

Saved: A War Reporter’s Mission to Make It Home tells the story of the attack he survived, which included three total bombs in his vicinity while he was in a car with the videographer Pierre Zakrzewski and freelance journalist Oleksandra Kuvshynova, who both died in the attack. Hall reported that he and Zakrzewski were able to get out of the car before the third bomb hit it directly. He also confirmed that Zakrzewski was still conscious for 40 minutes afterward and carried on a conversation before he died.

Hall volunteered to visit Ukraine to cover the conflict with Russia, according to a press release. The war correspondent has worked with Fox News since 2015 and previously reported on conflicts in both Syria and Afghanistan.

“For me, this book is about being saved — it’s being saved by all these people. And it’s that understanding that can give you so much strength,” Hall said in the release. “We all think about Pierre every day, and I think that’s really important for all of us to do. And I think of my family every day, and I went through everything thanks to them. And you have got to remember those close things to you and keep fighting for them every day.”

The book will be released on March 14, exactly one year after the bombing. It is available for preorder.
