Podcast host Megyn Kelly blasted several Democratic leaders for jumping to conclusions about recent California shootings, saying they were quick to spin the tragedies into a Leftist agenda of racial hate crime.
At least 19 people are dead following three recent California shootings. Since a Monterey Park shooting that happened on Saturday, the Los Angeles County coroner has identified 11 people killed. A combined eight others were also reported to have died in two additional California shootings taking place in Half Moon Bay and Oakland.

“We get this from Chuck Schumer (D-NY),” Kelly said, reading a tweet from the Senate Majority Leader that was posted shortly after the Monterey Park shooting. “‘We must stand up to bigotry and hate.’ That’s what he tweeted out… It’s Asian on Asian crime, okay?”
“Then we get this from Adam Schiff — these are not small names in the Democratic party,” Kelly said during her SiriusXM the Megyn Kelly Show on Tuesday. “’Bigotry is a possible motive here.’ What? Why are you even mentioning? You don’t know. How do you know that? You know nothing yet. Say nothing.”
Kelly also read a tweet from Wisconsin State Assemblywoman Francesca Hong that called the U.S. “broken as a nation to have mass shootings and white supremacy reign terror.”
“White supremacy?” Kelly questioned. “No one here, as far as I know, has gone back to correct the record now that we know that this is not a hate crime, as it’s defined under the law. This wasn’t about white supremacy. Both of these were about something very different.”

The shootings have prompted renewed calls for gun control measures nationwide. California Gov. Gavin Newsom blamed conservative lawmakers.
“It’s a disgrace what they say, what these people say every single night,” Newsom told reporters. “There’s xenophobia, they’re racial priming, what they have done to perpetuate crime and violence in this country, by scapegoating, and by doing not a damn thing about gun safety, not a damn thing for decades.”
